First Day of School...

God's Promise Isaiah 43:5;6
Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bring your children from the east and gather you from the west. I will say to the north, 'Give them up!' and to the south, 'Do not hold them back.' Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth-
To Each Teen in hard circumstance; God knows each of you by name-
...See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Isaiah 49:15-17

A Prayer for our Teens and College Young Adults
Today is the first day of school for our children in South Florida, and as my daughter Jessica prepared for school today all went smooth. I give thanks to God who gives us all the victory.
As I dropped her off at her school I was reminded of the struggles, the temptations that our children face. It's a lot more than I ever faced as a teen. The peer presure is greater because
of the climate we live in. The electronic media; cell phones; computers, video cameras on the phone, ipods, itouch etc, etc...The list of things that are taunting them tempting them to be distracted from the call on their lives. They need our ferverent prayers. The bible encourages us to be Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. Colossians 4:2
So I was inspired to blog a prayer for our teens and college students as they step into their classrooms once again. Please join me and lifting up our children today...Thank you!
Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance,
Love in Christ,
Jennifer Pettiford

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, Thank you for your grace and glory you bestow in each of our lives.
Thank you for equipping us for every good work in Christ.
I said O' Lord have mercy on me (your sons & daughters in this time and season); heal me (your sons & daughters) for I (they) has sinned against you"
In repentance and rest is our salvation, in quietness and trust is our strength.
Thank you for equipping us for every good work in Christ.

Blessings for the Lord’s People 18 So the Lord must wait for you to come to him so he can show you his love and compassion. For the Lord is a faithful God. Blessed are those who wait for his help. 19 O people of Zion, who live in Jerusalem, you will weep no more. He will be gracious if you ask for help. He will surely respond to the sound of your cries. 20 Though the Lord gave you adversity for food and suffering for drink, he will still be with you to teach you. You will see your teacher with your own eyes. 21 Your own ears will hear him. Right behind you a voice will say, “This is the way you should go,” whether to the right or to the left.
