The Encouragement Shared

Daily devotions in the Proverbs adds wisdom. Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom.

Though it cost all you have, get understanding. Proverbs 4:7

I share not because you do not know or believe I share to make your joy complete.

Joy completes us! We write this to make our joy complete. 1 John 1:4

A few years ago my Mom, Martha Clark shared this wisdom with me, "There are 31 Proverbs one for each day of the month. The Proverbs are practical tools for life, study them as a daily devotional." I will submit to you it was that powerful statement that illuminated my eyes that continually teaches, it equips me for every good work. I used the proverbs as part of my daily devotions consistently for three years. Each time I read the Proverbs it gives me a different perspective on God's infinite wisdom, love and grace. It prepares us for every good work he is calling us to do. It speaks to me personally, to my mind and spirit regarding those issues that God is continually refining and redefining within me. I share it will do the same for anyone who takes the Proverbs Challenge; Proverbs 1 states this.

My prayer and encouragement for today...May...the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance...

Love in Christ,

Jennifer Pettiford
