God’s Word – But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, 1 Peter 3:15

Introduction – Praying Through The Book of Colossians ~

Hello Daughters of The King -
Starting in the Month of June 2010 Praying for Wisdom in God’s Word – Women of God’s Word will be praying through the book of Colossians… There are some powerful words of wisdom written by God through Paul. This book is filled with wisdom for living the Christian life- This book teaches the truth of “The Supremacy of Christ” – And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. Colossians 1:18 –

There Is Nothing New:

As Solomon wrote; Ecclesiastes 1:9 – What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.

The issues that were very real in Colossae are the very same issues we face in our world today, truth being inter-mixed with different doctrines. I met this woman her name: Victoria Rivera, she told me she is a catholic believer… Victoria explained to me she does not like to offend people of other faiths and that she believes that all roads lead to God regardless of what you believe. She was astonished when I explained to her that even when we offend a person regarding their faith the Holy Spirit is actively working- Jesus states; “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6 When I reminded her of what Christ said-Christ is the way, the truth and life. He is the word that came to flesh she then understood that to be true. Offending Other Faiths: The true offense is to God when we do not stand firm on the word of truth sown in our hearts. It is possible to share the reason for our hope with gentleness and respect. The Book of Colossians addresses the doctrine issues Jewish Legalism; Oriental Mysticism and New Age – The Emergent Church we see all around us. It was very same in that time also when Paul wrote the book of Colossians. This book will prepare us to share the reason for the hope we have with those whom believe yet are deceived by the inter-mixing of religions of Jewish legalism; Oriental Mysticism and New Age the religion of self being the center focus.

The Book of Colossians: Colossians is a powerful book that presents the biblical truths and the Supremacy of Christ. It also gives us directives for practical principles for daily living.
