God's Promise
The Lord has said, "So I will restore to you the years that the...Locust have eaten" Joel 2:25
The Blowing of the Trumpet in Zion…
STUDY ON DELIVERACE BASED ON JOEL CHAPTER 2 ~
Blowing The Trumpet of Warning – Joel 2:1-11; The tribulations that are a part of our lives should be a wake up call, a reminder to us that God is in control. The locust represent God’s army [Joel 2:11;20;25] and the day is/was “ the day of the LORD.” This is serious reality of truth that can bring comforting truth – [Samuel 24:14]. The Lord who wounds also brings forth healing – Hosea 6:11

Blowing The Trumpet of Warning – Joel 2:1-11; The tribulations that are a part of our lives should be a wake up call, a reminder to us that God is in control. The Lord who wounds also brings forth healing – Hosea 6:11
Restoration – The Lord has said, So I will restore to you the years that the… Locust have eaten” Joel 2:25 God promised his people a great harvest, like none ever seen to make up for all the crops that had been lost during the drought, along with the plague of locust… We can not make up for lost sleep; lost energy, lost time…We simply cannot gain those things back. “Lost years can never be resorted literally” – Charles Spurgeon. Life is but a vapor…The good news is that God the Father can give you the blessings that were missed caused through life’s hardships; trauma, tragedy, and troubles. In the midst of my troubles you preserve my life. Psalm 138:7. During our periods of mourning, the fruits of the wasted years can still be yours.” How is this done? By direction of the counsel of God through his word [Psalm 119:9], and the power of the “Holy Spirit” in you…The victories have been won through the blood of Christ shed for you [Revelation 12:10-12].
Blowing The Trumpet of Weeping – Joel 2: 12-12 The prophet Joel commanded through the word of God spoken to him to return to their God, The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob with fasting, mourning and weeping. He wants true confession from a sincere heart. "Even now," declares the LORD, "return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning." We should never be afraid to come to the Lord in honesty, humility; he esteems the one who is humble, has a heart of contrition and trembles at His Word. [ Isaiah 66:2b] He already know the heart and he knows the deceitfulness of our hearts [Jeremiah 17:9-10], He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and great kindness – Joel 2:13 As you go before the Lord in prayer consider magnifying Him through praise through the glory that is only through God’s mighty presence Joel 2:17, along with escaping the suffering that sin brings to our lives through repentance. Repentance brings restoration – Therefore this is what the LORD says: "If you repent, I will restore you that you may serve me; if you utter worthy, not worthless, words, you will be my spokesman. Jeremiah 15:19
The Promise: Blessings – Joel 2:18-32 God promises to restore his people shame and restore His blessings to the land. The trauma and tragedies of life [Joel 2:20] He will give sweet victories by the Lord [Joel 2:21] and joy will be exchanged for mourning, peace for despair, strength for fear. [Isaiah 61] Joel 2:28-32 refers to the future day of the Lord… is also in line with what Peter writes regarding the Pentecost [Acts 2:16-21] speaks of having important spiritual application today.
A Verse to meditate on: And God will generously provide all you need. 2 Corinthians 9:8
The Actions – Micah 6:8 states; He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?
Practice: The Prayer of Faith – Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise. Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. James 5:13-16
