Better or Bitter?

God’s Promise
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9

Encouragement Shared:
Better or Bitter… means choosing life or death. I find it amazing the simple choices we have and we still manage to make the simple things more complicated than necessary. In the midst of our troubles God the Father preserves our lives. Psalm 138 In these difficult times we live in, there are challenges that give us the opportunity to create in us a better attitude to grow from, or a bitter attitude that creates in us a hardness of heart. God’s Promise when we choose the better way that is life in Christ: … See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction. For I command you today to love the LORD your God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the LORD your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess. Deuteronomy 3:15-16 What a wonderful promise to have written on the tablet of our hearts. In the New Testament scriptures Paul encourages us; We do not lose heart.
I recall a time that I had lost my job a single mom of two teens and things were pretty tight financially. Then my step Dad, Vincent sent me a card and a check. And on the card he wrote; “ Keep looking up our help is in the Lord.” Then he wrote Galatians 6:9 - Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. I wrote that promise on the tablet of my heart and it has brought me the comfort, joy and strength from the Father through Christ. That note brought the strength that I needed in that season of my life.
My encouragement to you regardless of your circumstance-work, family, marriage, financial, you fill in the blank. Choose the better way and choose life in Christ, get in your word and cling to the promises he will refine and redefine those character strengths to show God’s glory in and through you. The end of the matter is better than the beginning patience is better than pride. Deuteronomy 30:19-This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live. Thank you Lord!
