God’s Word
Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. Psalm 1:1-2

How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word. Psalm 119:9
This Psalm is written in accordance of the Hebrew alphabet, the purpose was for easier memorization. It is the longest Psalm in the entire book of Psalms. The word of God is living active, sharper than any double- edged; it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Hebrews 4:12 God word will make our way sure. I share it with you today the blessing of God’s Word.

Encouragement Shared: The verses written in Psalm 119 are speaking of The Word of God, except for 5 verses. The study of Psalm 119 teaches us to be familiar with The Word of God along with the different titles used throughout Psalm 119 – word, law, saying, statutes, way, commandments, path, testimonies, precepts and judgments. The encouragement: become familiar with the definitions of the titles used in The Word of God. The titles define each word and how we are to discern and apply it to our daily life for God’s purpose, and for the divine calling in our lives. Regardless of what is you do in your everyday life it is a testimony to God’s glory as His servant: The Ministry of Reconciliation [2 Corinthians 5]. As you read Psalm 119 I pray that it bless you deeply as you read it, giving you a lamp to light your way, give you direction for His will, and the appointed revelation and excellent counsel for His purpose [Psalm 138:8]. It will also bring forth godly wisdom to set a foundation for His fruitful life by divine design through the building of your faith in love in a personal way. [Galatians 5:21-22]

FAITH BUILDING LOVE
Psalm 119:1-8
Aleph
1 Joyful are people of integrity,
who follow the instructions of the Lord.
2 Joyful are those who obey his laws
and search for him with all their hearts.
3 They do not compromise with evil,
and they walk only in his paths.
4 You have charged us
to keep your commandments carefully.
5 Oh, that my actions would consistently
reflect your decrees!
6 Then I will not be ashamed
when I compare my life with your commands.
7 As I learn your righteous regulations,
I will thank you by living as I should!
8 I will obey your decrees.
Please don’t give up on me

Knowing and Obeying God’s Word
Each letter in the Hebrew alphabet is represented and is written in eight verses. The first letter-Aleph: Know God’s Word; Obey God’s word in order to be blessed by the power of the living word in our life in Christ. [Deuteronomy 28 – Blessings for Obedience] We need to look to the word of God as a mirror to our souls.
Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance,
Love in Christ,
Jennifer Pettiford
