Sign Of The Time…

God’s Word – The Sign of the end time: Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. Matthew 24:12-14

Encouragement Shared:A local Pastor Posted on his Facebook status- Airline security is getting pretty personal. How much privacy do we have to give up to feel secure and protected? It got me thinking: Privacy Rights? Hmm, it’s not just at the airport – Privacy has become a thing of the past unfortunately. It’s the season we live in it’s a result of terrorist acts that compromise the safety of many. It is also the result of individuals acting on emotions that lead them to merciless acts of wrath through their rage. As I go about my day in the usual business of living this ordinary life I see there are cameras peering everywhere we go; stop lights, schools, shopping malls. I’m beginning to question the fitting room mirrors at the department store. The line between protection and privacy is a thin line- But as Christians we know it’s the sign of the end time [Matthew 24]… This brings to mind what the writer of Hebrews reminds us: Hebrews 4:13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.
Shine Our Light Bright: It was three months after 911 occurred, my daughter Jessica and I were on our way to Raleigh Durham North Carolina for Christmas. At the airport security check I sounded the alarms. It was my port to my dialysis access. Well those security people were on me, when they passed the hand device and saw a bulge under my coat. I immediately said, “It’s my port for my dialysis access. I am a dialysis patient.” Well they moved me to a more private spot I had to show them the port I removed the tape and showed them the bulge in my shirt was my port connected to my arterial vein. I was little nervous because I had nothing to show other than my port that I was in end stage renal crisis. I ask the Lord for favor and strength! They looked through our bags, my purse then the woman going through my stuff saw my meds and the authorization documents for me to receive dialysis in a center in North Carolina. She then showed me some kindness and empathy and said, “Ok your clear to go.” She confiscated my medical tape because it was not allowed. At first I wanted to get upset that tape is quite expensive. But then I remembered God is in control of all things. Jesus encourages us… People do not light a lamp and place under a bowl, Instead they put it on its stand…Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deed and praise your Father in heaven. [Matthew 5:15;16] Even in this season we are living in we must not be alarmed such things must happen.
Verses to focus on: “You are the salt of the earth. …You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.” Matthew 5:13;14
