"Thelma & Louise" - A Lesson in where the mind goes we follow...

God's Word: And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified. Romans 8:30 NIV

Wisdom Shared: I have often heard it said, "Where the mind goes man follows" ... It is because of that inclination God reiterates those oh so important points throughout the scriptures.  It was on my weekly call with my oldest, that during our conversation we spoke of the useless violence going on all around us.,,,shooting rampages...that lead to injuries and even death.  It was this profound word, that my oldest child stated; " It is demonic... because of the violence in the music that people listen to eventually gets ingrained in their brain,  Then they act on it."  As I was watching TV, and channel surfing I came across the movie; Thelma & Louise it brought to my thoughts. Where the mind goes the man/woman follows-it reiterates the need to think on positive thoughts.

 Think on These Things

7And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 8Finally, brothers, whateveris true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable — if anything is excellent or praiseworthy — think on these things. 9Whatever you have learned and received and heard from me, and seen in me, put these things into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.…

Godly To Do List:
  • Whatever is Honorable
  • Whatever is Right
  • Whatever is Pure
  • Whatever is lovely
  • Whatever is admirable
  • Whatever is excellent or praise worthy ... Think on these things.
Thelma and Louise although it was a fictional movie there was an lesson that no bad deed goes unpunished.  It was a dark ending... but it does have an important hidden message,  ... A life left to self is not good.  The life with out king Jesus, brings on sorrow and brokenness.  The truth is that without the power of God in us ... Life's hardships can lead us to a dead end.  Yes, Beloved, Jesus is calling us to remain in Him.  To believe in the promise through the word of hope through out the Bible. Although many may perceive that the Bible is an antiquated book that is not fitting to today's standards.  Trust and believe that the opposite is true- If God is for us who can be against us? How often in the life of a Christian have we heard and often repeated that?... The truth Beloved God has called us and so generously equips us with every need-every circumstance. Yes because of God's great love; we are more than conquerors.

Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance,
In Christ Love,

Romans 8:30-32

And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.

More Than Conquerors

31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us,who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?
