Infinite Peace of God
Wisdom Shared:
As I am moving forward in reading through the Bible in One Year... I am in the middle of a difficult area of scripture the book of Leviticus. Leviticus 18 goes on in directives in unlawful behaviors in regard to lust greed and anger it leads to emotional disconnect, depression, oppression leading us to wicked behaviors derived from rage. It is a great burdensome journey...
The good news is if we chose to honor the divine life direction through accepting the power of Christ in us God the Father will save us and show us restoration through glory empowering us to a a life of love-faith-hope-glory- honor-strength-courage...in other wards spiritual success through Christ that brings glory to glory and strength to strength. I’ve had friends in the Faith one in particular Suzanne; that has shared with me one afternoon during a lunch in my home, ... Suzanne said, “I’ve been reading and following your blog; and I have noticed that you write about the Old Testament when we are under The New Covenant... She shared, " I live under the new covenant. “ In other-wards she was politely saying she didn’t like or agree with my sharing in the interpretation of God’s word. My response is always the same whenever someone shares that we live under "The New Covenant" ...we must study and learn the whole counsel of God’s Word in order to receive revelation blessings and inspiration for the truth of Christ' saving glory for revelation, restoration and healing through prayers through the scriptures written in the Bible [ He sent out his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave. Psalm 107:20] That is a powerful verse.
Christ's Life Does Not Abolish the Law
Christ states in Matthew 5:17; Don't suppose I came to do away with the Law and the Prophets. I did not come to do away with them, but to give them their full meaning. It is through the history of law and the divine wisdom of the prophets that we are filled with divine wisdom, understanding knowledge and inspiration for God’s transforming grace upon us. It is the word of God at work in us that brings us illuminating empowering for life’s tragedies, joys and victories. Do not be so quick dismiss the divine wisdom of God because it’s not fitting or relative to the societal acceptance by today’s society lifestyles. Today's standards for living are not about what’s right or wrong. It’s all about tolerance and acceptance even if its not honoring to godly virtues. As Christians we need the mindset of Christ through love, grace, mercy, faith with no bounds ... Keeping in mind that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday- today and forever, he never changes. As Christ centered people we must share all good things in love, gentleness and respect... Love is what completes us.
Unethical Behaviors Destroys Lives
The news brings to mind: all the unethical behaviors ... of two very wealthy and influential men one in the music and the other in the sports arena caught behaving inappropriately destroying lives sadly their money and notoriety will allow them to walk free from the charges. My prayers are with all the lives that have been affected. Even a man of God in Church leadership accused of defiling a life ... each day there is more and more destructive behaviors that inflict pain, sorrow and brokenness to innocent lives.
Pray for Healing
I hear of this awful behaviors and the first thing that comes to mind... What serious event traumatized these men to react in this manner. Abusers, are usually victims of abuse and it becomes a strong hold to life choices that are destructive. An open door for Satan to act, especially if these matters are not resolved, then sadly the path of destruction takes hold, there is no healing... especially without revelation or repentance. As a people of God we must stand firm on the word creating the enemy to flee, we must pray for protection ... salvation, revelation, for healing and restoration upon our land.
Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance,
In Christ Love,
Jennifer Pettiford

Unlawful Sexual Relations
Leviticus 18:1-30
18 The Lord said to Moses, 2 “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘I am the Lord your God. 3 You must not do as they do in Egypt, where you used to live, and you must not do as they do in the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you. Do not follow their practices. 4 You must obey my laws and be careful to follow my decrees. I am the Lord your God. 5 Keep my decrees and laws, for the person who obeys them will live by them. I am the Lord. 6 “‘No one is to approach any close relative to have sexual relations. I am the Lord. 7 “‘Do not dishonor your father by having sexual relations with your mother. She is your mother; do not have relations with her. 8 “‘Do not have sexual relations with your father’s wife; that would dishonor your father. 9 “‘Do not have sexual relations with your sister, either your father’s daughter or your mother’s daughter, whether she was born in the same home or elsewhere. 10 “‘Do not have sexual relations with your son’s daughter or your daughter’s daughter; that would dishonor you. 11 “‘Do not have sexual relations with the daughter of your father’s wife, born to your father; she is your sister. 12 “‘Do not have sexual relations with your father’s sister; she is your father’s close relative. 13 “‘Do not have sexual relations with your mother’s sister, because she is your mother’s close relative. 14 “‘Do not dishonor your father’s brother by approaching his wife to have sexual relations; she is your aunt. 15 “‘Do not have sexual relations with your daughter-in-law. She is your son’s wife; do not have relations with her. 16 “‘Do not have sexual relations with your brother’s wife; that would dishonor your brother. 17 “‘Do not have sexual relations with both a woman and her daughter. Do not have sexual relations with either her son’s daughter or her daughter’s daughter; they are her close relatives. That is wickedness. 18 “‘Do not take your wife’s sister as a rival wife and have sexual relations with her while your wife is living. 19 “‘Do not approach a woman to have sexual relations during the uncleanness of her monthly period. 20 “‘Do not have sexual relations with your neighbor’s wife and defile yourself with her. 21 “‘Do not give any of your children to be sacrificed to Molek, for you must not profane the name of your God. I am the Lord. 22 “‘Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable. 23 “‘Do not have sexual relations with an animal and defile yourself with it. A woman must not present herself to an animal to have sexual relations with it; that is a perversion. 24 “‘Do not defile yourselves in any of these ways, because this is how the nations that I am going to drive out before you became defiled. 25 Even the land was defiled; so I punished it for its sin, and the land vomited out its inhabitants. 26 But you must keep my decrees and my laws. The native-born and the foreigners residing among you must not do any of these detestable things, 27 for all these things were done by the people who lived in the land before you, and the land became defiled. 28 And if you defile the land, it will vomit you out as it vomited out the nations that were before you. 29 “‘Everyone who does any of these detestable things—such persons must be cut off from their people. 30 Keep my requirements and do not follow any of the detestable customs that were practiced before you came and do not defile yourselves with them. I am the Lord your God.’”
